A group of talented local songwriters will perform their music at the event which will take place at the Gentle Giant Brewing Company in Pearl River on Monday, May 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rockland County is home to many creative residents, a number of whom can be seen playing your favorite covers of popular music at local venues every day.

Country Fresh has been around for seven years. “We came up with the idea of starting a country band after noticing that there weren’t really a lot of country bands here in this area,” Cipris said. Fast forward to now, live performances return, including Sounds in the Round.

Cipris was able to offer some advice to those struggling to return to show business. “Draw on your musician friends as a resource, open the mics and keep

give a hand. She also explained that she noticed that there were places looking for new artists and they wanted artists to come back as much as they wanted to come back.

Cipris emphasizes the importance of supporting the arts in Rockland County. “People need art in our lives, it makes our lives easier and puts our minds in a better place whenever we are immersed in art of any form.” Cipris hopes, with the support of Rockland residents, that Sounds in the Round will not be a one-time event. She and other musical artists believe that our community united as a unit will help immensely in supporting the arts.
