The death of Taylor Hawkins has rocked the music world. Everyone from Miley Cyrus to Nancy Wilson to Tom Morello expressed their sadness at the passing of the 50-year-old.

Hawkins died Friday, March 25 in Colombia while touring with his band, Foo Fighters. Colombian authorities are investigating the death.

As news continues to circulate about the final days of the rising musician and leader of the NHC, we wanted to celebrate the artist’s life here.

Hawkins’ last show was three nights before his death. Perhaps the highlight of that show was when he switched places with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and sang Queen’s “Somebody to Love.”

Hawkins told the audience before the song began, “I love Dave Grohl, man. I would deliver pizza if it wasn’t for that fucking Dave Grohl. I’d be running the drum department at a Guitar Center if it wasn’t for Dave Grohl.
